It is 40 years since the Children's Renal and Urology Unit started in Nottingham and now provides care for children and young people with kidney disease across the East Midlands, East of England and South Yorkshire; The EMEESY Children's Kidney Network.

To celebrate we are looking to have a number of fund raising events to raise money for the Kinder Appeal, the charitable fund that supports the work of the Children’s Renal and Urology Unit and EMEESY children's kidney network.

My fund raising event is a cycle challenge. I have cycled

- 500 miles - roughly the equivalent to the distance between all the hospitals in our network

- starting by going to Kidney Lake - couldn't resist the Kidney connection

- finishing by going over the highest paved road in the Canadian Rockies

- cycling the equivalent of going up Everest

Our Charity is a part of Nottingham Hospitals Charity and you can donate through JustGiving which is simple, fast and totally secure.
