Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm taking part in the Anfield abseil to raise money for the truly amazing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Liverpool Women's Hospital who along with the wonderful consultants caring for myself, saved the life of my youngest son Dominic who was born at 28 weeks, weighing 2lb 9oz. Dominic had simply the most difficult start in life. My waters ruptured at 23 weeks meaning his lungs could not develop properly. From the moment he was born until nearly 12 months old, he required oxygen support 24/7. Days after birth, he also developed NEC, a life threatening bowel infection but thanks to fast response of the neonatal consultants and the surgical team at Alder Hey, he survived. Thank you will just never be enough for this wonderful hospital and the doctors and midwives that work there but I will never stop trying to give back in thanks for everything they have given us.
I'm beyond terrified of heights but nothing will stop me completing this challenge. Anything at all you can give to support us will be so gratefully received.
