Story
Last year, I had to put the brakes on the London Marathon due to injury and made the difficult decision to defer my place, with the hope that this year would be a fresh start. Unfortunately, things haven’t quite gone to plan. I picked up another injury along the way and, as a result, haven’t been able to train anywhere near as consistently as I’d hoped.
Despite that, I’ll be standing on the start line of the London Marathon on 26th April 2026, ready to soak up the atmosphere and take things one step at a time, with my main hope being that my Achilles tendon holds up for 42‑ish kilometres. This year isn’t about chasing times or personal bests; it’s simply about showing up, doing what I can, and seeing it through to the finish.
I’m incredibly fortunate to be running the marathon in support of Sense, an amazing charity, and honestly, the cause, and the generosity of everyone who has supported it, is what’s pushing me to give this my best shot, even when common sense might suggest otherwise.
Sense is a national charity that supports people who are deafblind or living with complex disabilities. They work tirelessly to break down communication barriers and help people feel understood, connected, and valued, ensuring that no one feels isolated or left out.
I’m hugely grateful for any support, whether that’s a donation or simply taking the time to read this page. Every contribution makes a real difference and helps Sense continue their vital work. Thank you so much for supporting me and for helping to change lives.
