Blackledge's vs the Tenby Long Course Weekend

(Half) Long Course Weekend Wales - Tenby · 21 June 2024
My husband Jack and I decided to take on the Tenby half long course weekend this June, to push ourselves (such fools!), whilst raising funds for a charity that's very close to my heart.
The Julie Davies Foundation was set up by my family after we lost my amazing cousin Julie in 2021 due to a heart condition, having previously beat cancer twice. The foundation provides financial support for children and young people that are sadly suffering from heart conditions or cancer.
The event involves a 1.2m open water swim, a 70m cycle, and 13.1m run over three consecutive days around the beautiful, but very hilly, Pembrokeshire coast. It's by far the biggest and most intimidating challenge I've ever entered!
Any donations would be hugely appreciated, and if you are aware of anyone who would benefit from a grant, please ask them to reach out to the charity.
We swim, cycle and run in memory of Alan Blackledge (Jack's father), Carole Edwards (my Nanna), and Julie Davies, all taken too soon by cancer / heart conditions.
