Emily walks the Circle line for Camden Giving

Emily Brown is raising money for Camden Giving

Walk the Circle line · 25 September 2026

Camden Giving is an independent charity aimed at ending local poverty and inequality. Based on a notion that everyone has something to give, be that time, skills or money, it channels those resources into support for local people, such as food banks, winter night shelters and activities for vulnerable young people.

Story

On 25 September, I’m joining my Universities UK colleagues to walk the Circle line (15.4 miles/24.8 km) to raise funds for Camden Giving.

Why Camden Giving?

Camden is one of London’s most unequal boroughs. The gap in life expectancy between the most and least deprived areas is 11.6 years for men and 5.5 years for women. In 2026, around 2 in 5 children in Camden live in poverty after housing costs are taken into account. Many people also face barriers to housing, work and healthcare.

Camden Giving’s mission is to end local poverty and inequality in Camden. They fund community-led solutions that tackle the root causes of local poverty and inequality to build long-term change.
