100km Through the Lake District for Alzheimer’s Society
I’m raising money for Alzheimer’s Society, a cause which has unfortunately become very close to my heart.
Seeing someone so close to you live with dementia is heartbreaking. Watching a person you love change over time and seeing the impact it has on them and the people around them, is incredibly difficult. It’s a journey that affects the whole family.
That’s why, in 2027, I’ll be taking on a 100km Ultra Challenge through the Lake District, aiming to complete the entire route as an Ultra March in under 24 hours.
It will be an enormous physical and mental challenge, but whenever it gets tough, I’ll remind myself why I’m doing it. Every step, every mile and every moment of exhaustion will be for those living with dementia, and for the families and loved ones supporting them.
Alzheimer’s Society works tirelessly to support people affected by dementia, fund vital research, and help create a future where people living with dementia can live with dignity, understanding and hope.
I’d be incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small. Every contribution will help support the important work of Alzheimer’s Society and make a difference to people and families affected by dementia.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for supporting me on this challenge. Every donation and word of encouragement means so much to me and Alzheimer's Society. ❤️
100km. Less than 24 hours. One very personal reason to keep moving.
