Story
I’m running the Larking Gowen Norwich Half Marathon on 23rd November 2025, in loving memory of Damion Burbank who sadly lost his battle with cancer in 2019. In the final six weeks of his life, he was cared for at Priscilla Bacon Hospice, where he and our family received incredible love, compassion, and support.
Before he passed, I told him I would run a half marathon to raise money for the hospice that meant so much during those final days. This run is not just for them; it’s also for our beautiful children, Arabella, Olive & Molly in loving memory of their Dad.
The journey has been challenging; I won’t lie the training has proven to be much harder than expected, but I am determined to complete the half marathon.
This run is a heartfelt thank you to those who provided incredible care in times of need. If you’re able to support this cause and the vital work of Priscilla Bacon Hospice, I would be incredibly grateful. My target is to raise £500 to help ensure that others receive the same compassionate care that was given to our family during our time of need. 💛
