Emily's Ultra Marathon Fundraiser for Belle’s Story

Emily Williams is raising money for Belle’s Story
In memory of Belle

Backyard Ultra Marathon · 25 April 2026

Belle's Story is the legacy of Belle Curran who set-up this charity with the help of her family and friends to add sparkle to the lives of children with life-limiting illnesses, while also promoting organ donation and the need for families to talk about their organ donation wishes.

Story

On Saturday 25th April, I’ll be taking on a backyard ultra marathon to raise money for a charity close to my heart, Belle’s Story.

At the tender age of two, Belle received a diagnosis of an interstitial lung disease. Despite her condition, she managed to lead a relatively normal life with the aid of various medications. However, by the time she turned eight, her health had declined significantly, necessitating the use of a wheelchair and constant oxygen support. Subsequently, she was placed on the waiting list for a double lung transplant at Great Ormond Street Hospital. For two long years Belle and her family hoped for the call that would change her life there were no calls regarding available organs. Tragically, at the age of ten, Belle's body could no longer withstand the struggle, and she lost her brave battle leaving behind a legacy of courage and love.

Belle's Story is a beautiful tribute to her legacy. To honour her wishes by raising awareness about the importance of organ donation and advocating for the needs of young individuals living shorter lives. They also grant magical experiences and life-enriching equipment to children and young people with shorter lives.

Belle was like a little sister and best friend all rolled into one. No words can describe just how amazing Belle was and how much she is missed.

Please help me to raise as much money as I can for this fantastic charity!
