Story
A decade on since my last proper race, on Sunday 18th May I will be pulling on my trainers again and running the Hackney Half Marathon in aid of Marie Curie.
Now safely in my mid 40s and more of a leisurely 5k runner at best, the prospect of an early morning 21k in a few weeks time is quite daunting to say the least. However I’m strongly motivated by raising vital funds for this incredible charity.
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity. It’s there for all of us should we need it. The funds will pay for nursing care day and night whether in someone’s home or in hospice, supporting to the end with dignity. They also push for better end of life care for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system.
Any donation will be so gratefully received.
Thank you,
Emily
