Emily's fundraiser for Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome Trust

Emily Green is raising money for Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome Trust

Half Marathon in Leeds · 17 August 2025

The Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome Trust supports families affected by this rare genetic disorder by providing information in the form of newsletters, organising biennial national meetings, promoting awareness, funding research and grants, and forming links with support groups around the world.

Story

Having never taken running on as a hobby or in a serious capacity, I’m pushing myself and giving this race all I’ve got, to fundraise as much as possible for the incredible Amelia.

Amelia brings so much joy to the world; her energy and enthusiasm for life instantly lights mine (and everyone else that encounters her) days up. Amelia has Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome, and this rare genetic condition needs all the research and awareness it can possibly get to help families, carers and children like Amelia.

I’ll be running a Half Marathon in Leeds (over 13 miles!!!) in August to fundraise so please support where you can.

The Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome Trust supports children and families affected by Wolf Hirschhorn Syndrome by providing advice, producing newsletters, awarding financial grants and organising national and regional meetings, and seeks to promote awareness and understanding of this rare genetic condition by providing information to the wider community and funding research.
