Story
To mark over 40 years of friendship and to celebrate soon turning 50, we are heading to Tanzania on 17th June to summit Kilimanjaro. The challenge will see us trekking and camping for 6 days through varying landscapes, from rainforest to the snow covered peak at 5, 895 meters (19,340 feet).
We are self funding our trip but didn't want to pass on the opportunity to raise awareness of, and money for, an incredible charity that is very dear to us. Living Paintings has played a very important role in the life of Emily's son Monty, and countless other blind / visually impaired children and their families.
Living Paintings is the national charity on a mission to ensure every blind child in the UK has equal access to the visual world of pictures, books and learning. From adapting bestselling picture books into accessible, tactile-audio formats for blind children to developing resources designed to inspire, educate and entertain – their free postal library gives thousands of blind children and young people the world at their fingertips.

Your support would mean so much to us and will help carry us through the inevitable challenges of altitude sickness and camping in sub-zero temperatures!
(the extreme measures we will go for a mini break!!).
