Bassetlaw Hospice provides palliative care and support for those who have been diagnosed with a life limiting condition and who maybe experiencing troublesome symptoms. Their dedicated team help the patient and their family and friends to adapt to their changing situation as they promote psychological wellbeing and quality of life issues through offering patient focused care.

The charity has successfully supported the hospice redesign and refurbishment. The hospice reopened the doors to the community in March 2020 and we are very proud of its new form.

As a charity they are responsible for all the day to day running costs of the Hospice. This includes the maintenance and upkeep of the building and gardens, replacement, repair of fixtures, fittings and equipment. The charity funds a range of complementary services and facilities including alternative therapies, hairdressing and patient transport and manages their fantastic volunteers.

They work closely with Bassetlaw Health Partnership (NHS) who fund the nursing and medical service provision.
