Story
I’m raising money for the Alfie Nick Foundation because I want to support a charity that will make a difference to people and families in need. I first heard about the Foundation through Miss Griggs - my music teacher when she told us about the charity. Alfie was a member of her family, and hearing about him and the charity set up in his memory encouraged me to find out more and to get involved. The Foundation supports disadvantaged children in England and Wales by providing them with essential resources, support and opportunities to reach their full potential.
I decided I wanted to do a sponsored swim to help raise money and support the Foundation. It feels important to support something that helps others and keeps Alfie’s memory going.
While I am on holiday in La Gomera later in July, I am going to swim 10,000m over 13 days. I have worked out that will be at least 50 lengths of the swimming pool everyday!
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean a lot to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my page and support this cause.
