Story
This September, I’ll be taking on an incredible challenge — trekking the Great Wall of China alongside Gi Fletcher and other inspiring names — to raise money for CoppaFeel!, a charity that makes such a difference to so many people.
I’m raising money because breast cancer doesn’t discriminate, and early detection truly saves lives. CoppaFeel! exists to make sure that every person knows the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, understands how to check themselves properly, and feels empowered to speak up if something doesn’t feel right. Their mission is simple but powerful: to stamp out late diagnosis through education and awareness.
Too many people are diagnosed late because they didn’t realise they were at risk, didn’t recognise the signs, or felt embarrassed to seek help. CoppaFeel! works tirelessly to start conversations that can feel awkward but are absolutely vital — and those conversations save lives.
Walking the Great Wall won’t be easy. It will be physically and mentally demanding, with long days, steep climbs and challenging conditions. But that challenge is nothing compared to what so many individuals and families face when confronted with a breast cancer diagnosis. I aim to raise £4,000 to support CoppaFeel!’s vital work. Every donation, big or small, will contribute towards education, awareness and outreach that could genuinely save someone’s life.
Thank you so much for supporting me, for backing this challenge, and for helping spread a message that really matters: know your body, check regularly, and never ignore the signs. Together, we can help make sure more cancers are caught early — when they are most treatable.
