We deliver educational knife crime awareness sessions across schools, youth groups and community groups. We work with police, youth services, probation services and many others to raise more awareness of the devasting impact knife crime has on everyone. WHY? why we do what we do is because we lost our son to knife crime and the devastation and heartache is something we never want anyone else to have to deal with. Our youth today don't fully understand the concept and 99% of them say they never meant to do it. We use our own tragic circumstances and real life to educate young people, we don't need to elaborate, we speak from the heart and tell them the facts surrounding our sons murder and the impact it had on so many. We also fundraise to have emergency bleed kits installed and maintained across our region. These bleed kits contain medical equipment that can stem blood loss and potentially save lives. Each bleed kit is a one time use but the cost of a life saved is priceless. We help and support organisations and fundraisers to purchase these kits and we help to maintain them, replace if and when used no matter what the circumstances are. Two of the kits we have placed have been used and saved lives, each time the kit was replaced within 24 hours. The kits are registered and linked to NEAS, we have also developed a training programme to enable us to educate people on these kits and what each component is for and how to use it. Our work is fully funded by fundraising.

Story

With Connors memory approaching, me and the girls at Emily L Fitness have organised 'WALK FOR CONNOR'.

As many of you know Connor sadly lost his life due to knife crime nearly 6 years ago. Following this his family have set up a charity The Connor Brown Trust to fight against knife crime and to help raise awareness. The money raised will go towards funding the educational classes and bleed kits to be placed around our community.

All members of the community are welcome to join.

On the 16th of February at 10am, we will start off at The Bungalow Café in Roker to Colemans South Shields and then back to The Bungalow Café.

This is just over 6 mile and will take just over 5 hours.

We will also be walking 5k every Saturday leading up to his memory starting from The Bungalow Café at 10:30am.

Again everyone is welcome to join.

Charity tins will be also placed around the community.

Every donation is appreciated.

Hoping to see everyone there.
