Story

On Saturday 7th of September 2024 myself and 19 other Zebra's (Including friends) set off on an 8 day hike up Mt. Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route. After 6 days of climbing, Summit day will be on Friday 13th of September. We'll set off from Barafu camp situated at 4681m to summit 5895m. I am no mountaineering expert, the modest hills of the Lake district are as challenging as I've done but we will be working together as One Team to summit the highest point on the continent of Africa come September.

In May 2022 we lost my Grandad Les to a stroke, My Grandad wasn't able to recover, But many people can with support from organizations like The Stroke Association. Strokes can be life-changing, It can happen to anyone of any age and affects everyone in different ways. These Charities to help support and rebuild the lives of those who have suffered a stroke.

My Grandad loved hearing all about his 4 Grandchildren’s and 3 Great Grandchildren’s adventures and so he’ll be coming along this one with me in the weeks before what would have been his 90th birthday.

Please support the team: Jason Harvey, Mark Thomson, Andy Wood, Simon Lawrence, Lars & Nathalie Schmermbeck, Emily Mitchell, Jing Liu, Hayley Perry Nichols, James Bartlett, Louise Scott, Yasir Sekeroglu, Chris Guest, Jack Harvey, Will HD, Max Harvey, Tom Harvey, Andrew King, Frankie Davis & Amy Ross
