Story
Last year, I was supposed to be on the start line of the London Marathon running for Get Kids Going!, but after discovering stress fractures in my back I had to make the heartbreaking decision to pull out. It wasn’t easy pressing pause on a dream I’d trained so hard for, but I knew I needed to give my body the time to heal.
Now, one year on, I’m back and ready to take on 26.2 miles with even more determination. This time, it feels even more special — not just because I get to finally run the marathon, but because I get to do it while raising money for such an incredible charity. Get Kids Going! helps disabled children and young people have the opportunity to enjoy sport and achieve their dreams. Knowing that each mile I run helps support them is the biggest motivation I could ask for.
I’m so grateful for every bit of support — whether it’s a donation, a cheer, or a share of this page. Thank you for helping me turn last year’s setback into this year’s comeback.
