This is a fabulous local charity that I feel very passionate about and also serve as a trustee for.

I see first hand the fabulous work this charity does. When I said I was doing a swimming challenge Lily-Mae was keen to join! She is a better swimmer than me so the kilometer targets should probably be the other way round 🤣

SSIA run multiple initiatives including the only out of hours provision in Skipton in the form of a wellbeing cafe, befriending services, personal and community transport, a Christmas Elves appeal for children who may not receive Christmas gifts and schemes to nurture personal growth for individuals. With increasing cuts to social provision from local government , this charity has grown to fill a needed gap and is relied upon by many.
