Story

I’m taking on two walking challenges: 20.5 miles at the Dundee Kiltwalk on 16th August, followed by the Camino de Santiago starting on 19th September. I’ll be walking the Portuguese Coastal route from Porto to Santiago de Compostela, covering approximately 174 miles over 12-13 days, with daily distances ranging from 16-I’m taking on two walking challenges: 33km at the Dundee Kiltwalk on 16th August, followed by the Camino de Santiago starting on 19th September. I’ll be walking the Portuguese Coastal route from Porto to Santiago de Compostela, covering approximately 280km over 12-13 days.

Together, these two challenges represent 195 miles of walking in memory of my brother, Jamie Smart, who passed away in 2012 at the age of 11.

I’m fundraising for the charity PAMIS in Jamie’s memory. PAMIS is the only organisation in Scotland that works entirely with people who have profound and multiple learning disabilities.

PAMIS offered our family invaluable support, guidance and care throughout Jamie’s life, helping him access opportunities, therapies and experiences that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible. Their support gave our family comfort and strength during challenging times, and we will always be grateful for the difference they made in his life.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, the money goes directly to PAMIS, making it the most efficient way to support this incredible charity.

Every step I take is for Jamie, and for the children and families PAMIS continues to support ❤️
