Story
We have recently lost our darling daughter Emily. She was only 26. Emily was a special person, kind, thoughtful, intelligent, incredibly empathetic and very funny. She was the victim of deep trauma, which greatly affected her mental health.
Even so, she achieved so much in her life; a history degree from Oxford University, a masters in psychology; she was working as an Educational Mental Health Practitioner in Cornwall when she died, and was aspiring towards a career in clinical psychology. She was also a talented pianist.
More importantly, she was a wonderful and brilliant person, a caring and devoted sister, the most loyal of friends, and truly lovely daughter. She touched the lives of everyone she met; If she had the chance to make someone's life a little bit better, she did.
As a family, we have been on the receiving end of a huge outpouring of love and grief since we lost her. We are grateful to everyone who has reached out, and helped us in this awful period of mourning that will be in our lives for a long time to come.
In honour of Emily's memory, we want to try and raise a large amount of money for a cause which was close to her heart - MIND. Please donate whatever you can.
