Story
Anyone who knows me knows I love three things; running, being a vet and Bolton! Since starting running in 2022, I have dreamed of doing a marathon and after 2 years of injury I am finally running the Manchester Marathon on 27th April 2025, and who better to run for than RSPCA Bolton, one of the veterinary clinics that took so much time to teach me during my vet school journey!
The RSPCA Bolton branch operates as a locally focused charity under the umbrella of the national RSPCA. It is largely reliant on volunteer support and donations from the community. Through this support, the branch is able to provide lower cost emergency and preventative veterinary care to clients residing in Bolton in receipt of means-tested benefits. Any donations will be used to help the practice continue their excellent work within the local community of Bolton as well as continue to train veterinary students, like they did for my colleagues and I.
I might not be the fastest runner but crossing that finish line to raise money for such a wonderful local cause would be an amazing achievement and a great way to give back to one of the places who taught me such a wealth of knowledge, so any donations would be hugely appreciated by both myself and the staff and volunteers at the practice.
Donations made through JustGiving are secure and the money will be sent directly to the charity.
