In Memory of Our Dad, David Barnes MBE
Following the passing of our dad, David, our family have asked that anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory can do so to one of two charities that were extremely close to his heart.
Tiny Changes was personally chosen by him.
Tiny Changes is a Scottish charity focused on improving the mental health of children and young people, supporting positive change and helping make sure young people have the support they need to thrive.
That work meant a great deal to him. Supporting young people and their mental health was something he cared deeply about throughout his life. He spent so many years working with young people, listening to them, encouraging them and helping them through difficult moments, and he understood just how important the right support can be.
Mental health is also something that is very personal to our family, which made his choice of Tiny Changes especially meaningful to us. He knew how deeply mental health struggles can affect not only an individual, but the people who love them too.
He always believed in looking out for others, making time for people and trying to make a difference where he could. Supporting Tiny Changes feels like a very fitting way to continue that part of who he was and to help create brighter futures for young people.
We are incredibly grateful for every donation made in his memory and for helping support a cause that meant so much to him and to us.
