Derby school pupils are travelling to Nakuru, Kenya in August 2025 to spend time volunteering at schools in a developing area of the country.

In partnership with Derby County Community Trust and African Adventures, we will work in partner schools who provide a free education for children from underprivileged backgrounds, and we will help support the long-term development of the schools.

Working in a range of roles from teaching, sports coaching, or building and renovation, we will undoubtedly make a difference and learn so much about the wider world during this challenging experience.

To help raise money for this trip I have committed to swim the distance of the English channel (22 miles) at Alfreton Leisure centre. This is being recorded using the Swimtag recording system. This will take me 22 weeks and I hope that you will give generously towards my challenge.
