Story
After over a decade of me and my dad (Ged) saying "wouldn't it be cool to do a charity rally across Europe", we're finally making it reality. Ahead of Ged's 70th birthday, four friends are taking on a massive driving challenge across Europe, tackling the sharp turns and high altitudes of the Stelvio Pass, organised by Rustbox Rallies. Not only that but we are doing it in a fully electric car, so range anxiety will be real!
We are funding 100% of our own trip expenses, so that every single penny donated goes directly to Cancer Research UK to fund the next life-saving breakthrough. While nothing can take away the suffering we've had or bring back those we've lost, anything you give, whether it's 50p or £50, will help bring us closer to a future where more families get to stay together.
Why we’re raising money for Cancer Research UK
Like so many families, ours has been hit hard by cancer, we have seen too many people we love suffer from this disease.
We know we're not alone. In the UK, 1 in 2 people develop cancer in their lifetime with 1 person every 80 seconds being diagnosed.
Over the last 50 years, Cancer Research UK has helped double cancer survival rates in the UK. Yet Cancer Research UK receives no government funding for its research so every life-saving trial, discovery, and new drug depends entirely on public donations.
