Story
You have probably heard by now that I am running the Hackney Half Marathon in May of this year. By a million miles, this is the farthest distance I will ever have embarked on and the biggest test of endurance for sure.
It has been on my mind for some time to do something in aid of Alzheimer's Research. A few short years ago, a very close family member was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at a shockingly young age. It came as a devastating shock to everyone and has truly flipped the world on its head.
Because of the amazing work of research charities like Alzheimer's Research UK and others like it across the world, this family member has been able to access new treatments and be part of critical medical trials to find a cure.
Alzheimer's is a devastating disease that ruptures everything in its path, truly leaving no stone unturned. There are over 55 million people in the world living with some form of dementia. It is expected to reach 78 million by 2030.
I am running the Hackney Half to raise much needed funds and awareness for this incredible cause. Any donation is appreciated. Without donations, there is no research, there are no trials, no medication and no possibility for a cure. Be part of the change and help stop this disease in its tracks!
