So… I have decided to sign up for a Women’s charity boxing match in 10 weeks time on Sunday 3rd December at Detling Showground, Maidstone, Kent.

I have never boxed before and exercise has never been my favourite thing in the world but I love a challenge…

I have decided to raise money for TakeOff a local mental health charity in Canterbury. TakeOff provides physical and mental well-being support through support groups, art therapies, cooking to build people struggling with their mental health confidence, take part in groups with others experiencing similar difficulties to themselves and build their support network to support and aid recovery.

The service is ran by “experts by experience” (those who have struggled with poor mental health themselves.)

I have personally attended some of these groups when I have been at my lowest to get me out of the house and now as a social worker, it is a service that I signpost my service users to.

It would be wonderful if you could spare some pennies to donate towards a charity whose ethos is very close to my heart! It will also spur me on to attend training and continue on my quest to become the next Tyson Fury.

If you would like to buy a ticket to come and watch me, let me know. The ticket cost is £40 for unreserved or £55 for VIP with table service (tables of 10). There’s a licenced bar and will be good fun! The cost of the ticket pays for the running of the event, training for the boxers and staff/security for the event. I need to sell 20 tickets to guarantee a place in the show or I may have to wait until the March show, but don’t worry, if you buy a ticket and I don’t fight you will get a refund and can re purchase for the fight next year! 🥊🥊🥊
