Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. In August 2024, I faced a life-changing diagnosis of multiple bilateral pulmonary embolisms and DVT. I am incredibly grateful to the dedicated staff at Leeds General Infirmary A&E department and the Respiratory Critical Care unit at St James Leeds for their exceptional care that saved my life.

My journey was not easy; my symptoms went undiagnosed for months, leading to significant mental and physical stress. This experience has ignited a passion within me to advocate for greater awareness and understanding of thrombosis. If more people were informed about this condition, many could receive timely diagnoses and avoid unnecessary suffering.

That’s why I am supporting Thrombosis UK, an organisation committed to raising awareness, increasing understanding, and providing vital support for those affected by blood clots. Their mission focuses on preventing avoidable harm and saving lives through education, research, and support for individuals at risk of or experiencing blood clots.

I am participating in the Yorkshire Marathon on 19th October 2025 to help raise funds for this important cause. My target is to raise £250 to support Thrombosis UK in their efforts. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast, and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving—they will never sell them or send unwanted emails. Together, we can make a difference in raising awareness about thrombosis and saving lives. Thank you for your generosity and support!
