For my birthday month of February 2026 I'm raising money for the charity that saved my life from falling apart.

In April 2025 at the age of 51 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 incurable lung cancer which had spread to my liver & lymph nodes. I have never smoked or vaped.

In May 2025 my cancer was identified as a rare gene mutation known as ALK Positive.

In the weeks following my diagnosis I was in a pretty dark place. I even began to put my affairs in order as I couldn't see any real future.

THEN I came across the charity ALK Positive UK & I realised although my cancer was rare there was this amazing community of other ALK Positive patients who knew exactly how I was feeling.

The charity has given me & my husband John support, advice, solidarity, information, education, friendship & above all they give us HOPE!

We will be forever grateful to this amazing charity! 💙
