Hugs Children’s Cancer Charity supports children with cancer and their families across Devon and Cornwall. We offer emotional, practical, and physical support from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment, and beyond. Our mission is simple: to ensure no family faces childhood cancer alone.

Story

Hugs Children's Cancer Charity supports families going through the devastating diagnosis of cancer in children under 18 years old.

The words 'your child has cancer' are ones that no parent should ever have to hear. By providing group events, care packs, respite and a platform to talk to other parents, Hugs ensures that every family has the support they need!

My son Hayden was diagnosed with Lymphoma, a form of blood cancer in 2024 and has been having intense chemotherapy since.

Elsbeth and her team at Hugs have been a tremendous support, the warmth we as a family have felt from them from day one has been truly special and I can honestly say I have never once felt alone.

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to dance in the Hugs charity ball this year, I am excited to learn to dance and to raise money for such a deserving charity who will forever have a special place in my heart.

This is for everyone at Hugs, it isn't just a performance, it's a thank you from me to you!

So please follow my journey and sponsor me if you can. I can’t promise I will be any good but I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and into the spotlight to raise money so that other families get the chance to feel the kindness of Hugs that we did 💚💜
