Hiking for our loved ones! ❤️

We are very excited to share that Cally, Debs and I will be participating in a 26-mile hike along the Jurassic Coast to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support! This epic hike will take us through the UNESCO World Heritage site, which is known for its dramatic cliffs (of which, we’ll be climbing 700m!). This will be a massive challenge for us but we’re excited to do it together! We are supporting a cause close to our hearts, which has unfortunately affected us and our loved ones significantly.

My first experience of cancer was losing my auntie Di in 2017 who I was living with at the time. My auntie was diagnosed with cancer on 5 July 2017 and passed away just 10 days later on 15 July 2017, aged 61.

My Mum, Tina was then diagnosed with cervical cancer the following year, in February 2018 and died 19 months later in October 2019 on her 59th birthday.

I also recently lost my uncle Les in November 2024 to lung cancer.

Cally is hiking in memory of her dad, Michael who was diagnosed with primary oesophageal and secondary stomach cancer in December 2022 and passed away just five weeks later, aged 60.

Cally is also honoring her partner's mum, who was diagnosed with the same cancer as her dad in March 2023 and died a year later, aged 57.

Debs is taking on this challenge for her brother, who bravely survived throat cancer!

These are our personal stories of why we are taking on this epic challenge and what will push us on for every mile and every meter of elevation!

We know cancer affects all of us, which is we would like as much help as possible in raising money for MacMillan.
