Story

Following on from my Big Hike To Harrogate charity walk in July where YOU helped me raise around £2000 for The Brain Tumour Charity, I’ve decided to continue fund-raising.

As many of you know, I have a niece and a nephew with inoperable brain tumours. It’s easy to feel helpless when faced with disease and these events help me feel like I’m doing something positive and taking action.

So - during publication week for my fourth novel, Watch Your Back, l’ll race against the clock to visit 15 Waterstones stores in one day, across central Scotland, using public transport and my legs, running from station to store.

I’ll donate 50p to the charity for every single book I sign that day - and throughout publication week during events at Waterstones stores and various independents, including The Book Nook in Stewarton and The Portobello Bookshop in Edinburgh. I encourage others to match my donation!

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.

We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.
