We first met as Youth Support volunteers at Theatre Shed 8 years ago. Theatre Shed is an inclusive theatre company based in Chesham that provides performing arts opportunities for children, young people, and adults of all abilities and backgrounds.

Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to take part in countless productions and workshops. Some of our favourite memories include performing dressed as eggs in one show and fish in another, all while supporting members to build confidence, express themselves creatively, and have fun.

Theatre Shed has had a profound impact on both of us, not only as volunteers but as people. Its core values of inclusion, accessibility, and acceptance have shaped who we are today and inspired the career paths we’ve chosen. We both strive to make the world more inclusive and accessible, carrying the lessons we’ve learned at Theatre Shed into everything we do.

To give something back to a place that means so much to us, we’re taking on the 10km Move Challenge at Parallel Windsor this June. Theatre Shed is a truly special organisation, but it relies on the generosity of supporters to continue providing life-changing opportunities for its members.
