In 2024 I was diagnosed with breast cancer following a routine screening appointment. Luckily this was at an early stage and I completed my active treatment by the autumn. I am grateful to the NHS, the screening programme and the wonderful care I received.

Breast Cancer Now lead research into breast cancer and provide crucial support to anyone going through a diagnosis, treatment and living well after treatment ends. BCN’s information supports clinicians to educate their patients, helplines, websites and courses can be used directly by anyone that needs them.

I am taking part Night in the Wild 2025 to raise money for Breast Cancer Now to continue their important work that I benefited from. Together with my fellow choir friends from ‘Team Encore’ we will sleep under the stars in the beautiful countryside of East Sussex for a night on the 28th June.
