Project Play: Uganda 2025 - 4 Weeks · 2 June 2025 to 31 August 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Play Action International works across the world to help refugee s and other vulnerable children to learn, develop and heal through the power of play.

Story

This summer I'm really excited to be working alongside an incredible team and local community in Uganda to transform an empty field at a school into a vibrant playground. Play is essential for children’s learning, development, and well-being, and this project is part of a larger effort to create safe and engaging spaces for these children.

Through Play Action International, we’re supporting local initiatives that have already been making a difference. By working together, we can help create a space where children can develop essential skills, build confidence, and enjoy the childhood they deserve.

Playgrounds and play programmes bring about remarkable changes, improving future prospects:

- 98% of schools report increase in pupil attendance.

- 74% of children give 'The Playground' as a reason to attend school.

- 83% of teachers report improvements in children's attention and behaviour in classes.

-Studies show a strong positive correlation between children who develop through play and future earnings.

Please consider donating as any amount will play a key role towards supporting our fundraisers. This will help to ensure these amazing projects can happen, and that every swing, slide, and moment of fun in the classroom contributes to a brighter future for these children at school and in the wider community. Any donations will be massively appreciated! ❤️🫶
