Emma's fundraiser for Friends of ANCHOR

Courage on the Catwalk/Edinburgh Half Marathon
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2024. In all honesty it felt, at the time just another hurdle for me to get over. As my treatment commenced I began to realise just how big this hurdle was going to be. I have been raising my grandchildren since they were babies and are now 13 and 10. They are my first priority and I knew I had to fight hard for them. I first met the Friends of Anchor team while having chemotherapy. When I say they are like a big warm hug I truly mean it. Always met with a smile and a chat and even a foot massage! Since being chosen for Courage I have realised just how much Friends of Anchor do. So many people are affected by this terrible disease so raising funds for this most amazing charity will help so many others in this fight. I am also running the Edinburgh Half Marathon in May to help raise as much funds as possible. For those of you who know me you will know I don’t do anything by halves !
