Story
I’m raising money for Katharine House Hospice, a place that means so much to my family. My brother sadly passed away there in December 2024. The care, compassion and dignity he received in his final days were truly incredible, and the support the staff gave to our whole family meant more than we can ever properly put into words.
To honour him, I will be walking up Snowdon on his birthday, along with my Mum, sister and sister in law. It feels like a meaningful way to remember him while raising money for a place that gave us so much support during such a difficult time.
Katharine House relies heavily on the support of the local community to continue providing their amazing care. It costs £16,261 every day to run the hospice. Donations help fund not only the vital clinical care, but also the many extra services that make the hospice such a special place — from bereavement support and art therapies to relaxation classes, comforting meals and so much more.
Any donation, big or small, will help ensure that other families receive the same kindness, care and dignity that meant so much to us.
