Sunset Starlight Walk 2025 · 13 September 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Garden House Hospice Care offers care and support to patients and their families. As a registered charity the hospice is dependent on donations so hospice care can be offered through in-patient admissions, day hospice, hospice at home, out-patients clinics and the family support team.

Story

On 27th February, our gorgeous friend Rebecca Llewellyn lost her final battle with cancer. She was so brave and continued to sing and dance until the end. Her final couple of days were spent in the care of Garden House Hospice who looked after her with such care, compassion and dignity until she passed.

As a small thank you to them, Donna Bruce, Anna Gingell and myself will be undertaking the Starlight Walk around Letchworth on 13th September. This will include walking 6.5 miles around Letchworth and the surrounding villages

Any donation, whatever size, would be greatly received by the hospice. To give you an idea about costs incurred by the GHH, £569 for one patients care for 24hrs on the inpatient unit, £744 for a day of home visits from Hospice at Home and £107 pays for refreshments at the wellbeing hub for one year.

Garden House Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing life limiting illnesses, to enable them to have the best possible quality of life by providing care and support in the setting of their choice, without discrimination.
