Story
I am taking on The Great Pendleside Trek on Saturday 6th September. Please support me and Pendleside Hospice!
This is a 35mile walk and many of you reading this have already laughed at me signing up for such a long hike!
I decided to do it to give something back to the hospice that looked after and cared for my stepmum Chris and where she also volunteered. It is such an amazing place and they rely heavily on donations.
Chris also laughed when she found out I signed up and said there were much easier ways of showing support!
I rang my friend Jenny, who's a lot fitter than me and asked her what she thought. She said "do you realise how far that actually is and what that will do to your body!!" Hmmmmm!
My training isn't exactly going to plan but I'm sure doing mountains in 34degree heat and consistently waking up steps while on holiday has got to have helped....won't it?!!
I will be trying to complete the whole walk however I'm not nieve enough to think it will be easy. I will make it to the 21mile mark I'm confident of that and I have determination to see it through!
Any donation you could make would be greatly appreciated. If you want to take a guess at how many miles I'll do below then that might spur me on!
