I started my running journey ten months ago with a couch to 5K.

I remember getting up early on those cold dark mornings and was glad of the cover of darkness to hide my red face and the fact it was hard to breathe, it was not a pretty sight! I can remember running a couple of miles and thinking how do people run 5K!

I am not sure at what point I decided to enter for the Ipswich half marathon, maybe at the point when I discovered that I could run and talk at the same time....

Well here I am, now about to run 13.1 miles which is the furthest I have run. I thought why not do it for a great cause the charity I work for Emmaus Suffolk.

Emmaus Suffolk is a local charity which works with vulnerable, socially isolated people and those at risk of homelessness across the county. All money raised stays in the local community.
