In July 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer.

I will be hiking 13 miles to raise money for Macmillan. This will be my first half marathon.

I have chosen to take part in an event for this charity because it does great work for people living with a cancer diagnosis. It is likely that we all know someone who has been affected by cancer, but personally my Dad is living with CMML (a form of blood cancer), other close members of my family have been affected by cancer, and a friend of mine has been through a heart-breaking terminal diagnosis.

I chose this particular event because I love walking, I love the coast and I wanted to challenge myself physically.

I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £500 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for two days. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
