Donating 14 inches of my hair to make a wig · 26 August 2023

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

After years of only letting us trim her hair because she wanted Rapunzel hair to the floor, Emma at just 7 has decided she now wants to cut her hair into a bob and donate her hair to Little Princess Trust.

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Emma's says (in her own words), the reason she wants to cut her hair off: "I want to do this because I want to help children with hair loss because I wouldn't want people staring at me if I were to loose my hair. I want to make someone feel special again and am hoping that I raise £700 to pay to make the wig from my hair"

The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.

Please if you can spare just £1, donate to this cause to help Emma reach her goal and cover the cost of making a wig out of her hair - your support means a lot!
