🏃♀️ Running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for The Max Windle Charity 🏃♀️
In April, I’ll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of the Max Windle Charity — a cause that’s very close to my heart. This will be my third time running for this incredible charity, and I’m proud to continue supporting the amazing work they do to raise awareness of youth mental health and to honour Max’s memory.
As a teacher and mental health advocate, I see every day how important it is to talk openly, listen without judgment, and support young people who are struggling. The Max Windle Charity is a wonderful family-led organisation that does exactly that — helping to create a world where no young person feels alone in their battle.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Your support will help fund vital mental health initiatives and keep the conversation going.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and encouragement — it means the world to me and to so many others. 💙
You can follow my training journey on Strava and share this page to help spread awareness and support the cause. Together, we can make a difference. 💪
See Max’s story below…
A team of 60 will be running the LLHM in memory of Max. Max tragically died by suicide in January 2021 just two weeks before his 17th birthday. Many of the runners knew Max personally and others have heard Max’s story and know the heartache that has been felt by his passing.
Max asked for help but no help was available in time. We have to change the landscape in youth mental help support and together we will. Please support us if you can.
Many thanks Kate
