On the 8th June we are walking the South West coast a 26mile marathon to raise money and awareness of Dementia in Memory of my Dad. My dear Dad passed away in August 2023 never recovering properly from Pneumonia, he had be diagnosed with Dementia 2 years previously. Mum lives with dementia being diagnosed around 8 years ago. She is able to remain at home with support from carers, family and the company of Barney toe dog. Mum is happy in herself despite the cruel disease that takes away her memory bit by bit. She still loves to see family, friends and enjoys a good chat and lots of laughter.
