We did it, last night we trekked across the sand dunes at Dawlish Warren, we found a sheltered little spot.

We created our camp laying out cardboard and blankets for some warmth from the cold ground.

We chatted and laughed until it was time to settle, snuggled up in our sleeping bags, fully dress wearing our hats.

The temperature started to drop, this deprived us of sleep, not being able to settle on the hard ground and feeling cold.

We were aiming on having a sea swim at sunrise 🌅 but we were already cold and tired.

We are lucky, we had each other and we’re heading to warm safe homes with hot food and drinks.

St Petrock’s is an amazing charity I work very closely with on The STaR 🌟 project in Exeter, they assist us in providing essential support to those experiencing homelessness, I can’t thank them enough for the support they provide.

Sadly, the need for our services and support is increasing. Our team is providing more home-cooked meals, showers, emotional support, clothing and sleeping bags to people, than ever before.
