Story
In 2024, my beautiful 2 year old niece Freya was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. You can read her story on Instagram @freyaspebbles.
Her final days were spent at Julia’s House hospice where they ensured those days were as good as could be for Freya. The support they provide is second to none, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them, meaning those final days with Freya were focused on spending time together and making memories as a family.
Alongside Freya’s Daddy and some friends of the family, in Freya’s memory, I am taking part in the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge on 17th May 2025 walking 25km, to raise much needed funds for Julia’s House, to enable them to continue the vital work they do in supporting children and their families who face unimaginable heartbreak - the knowledge that their child may not live into adulthood.
Julia’s House provides frequent, flexible care for children with life-limited or life-threatening conditions to give their parents a much-needed break.
Amazingly, Julia’s House has to raise 93 per cent of the money it needs each year to run this vital service which is why I have chosen to support them. Your kind sponsorship will make a life-changing difference to these families.
