Emma’s fundraiser for Mental Health Foundation

EMMA HOWLETT is raising money for Mental Health Foundation

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

On Sunday 26th April 2026 our incredible team of runners are taking part in the iconic TCS London Marathon in support of good mental health for all.

Story

In April, I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation. This cause is important to me because I’ve seen firsthand how devastating poor mental health can be for those suffering from it, and for those supporting loved ones through it.

My brother, George, loved bringing his family and friends together and sharing his love for cricket, cats, Charlton Athletic, and fine wine. In early 2024, he suffered a brief but acute period of poor mental health, and died by suicide at the age of just 29. He was supported by his family and friends throughout, and we all miss him dearly.

He was loved by so many, but mental health can be cruel and can’t be treated just with love and support. I’m hoping this will go some way in preventing other families from having to go through this.

The Mental Health Foundation is the UK’s charity for everyone’s mental health. With prevention at the heart of what they do, the Mental Health Foundation aim to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive.
