Story
On Friday 24th May, I will be joining other brave swimmers from across the Forest of Dean, & further afield, and diving into Bathurst Pool to raise funds for Great Oaks Hospice.
Whether we are front-crawling for 50 lengths, doggy-paddling across 1 width, elegantly breast-stroking for 1 hour, butterflying half a mile, OR gently back-stroking up & down the pool whilst chatting to our best friend, we will all be splashing our way towards the marathon mileage target and raising much-needed funds for Great Oaks Hospice!
Great Oaks has been providing end-of-life care and supporting people living with life-limiting illness, and their carers, families and friends across the Forest of Dean, for almost 25 years. The hospice team touch the lives of around 1200 people each year but each year they need to raise almost one million pounds, so every penny counts!
Please support me in the swimathon, you will be making a huge difference because they can only keep caring with our help!
Thank you x
