Story
I’m taking on not one, but TWO half marathons to raise awareness and funds for mental health 💙
This year I’ll be running the Copenhagen Half Marathon in September and the Prague Half Marathon in March, all in support of an incredible charity: Sport in Mind.
A few years ago, while out on a dog walk, I came across someone who had taken their own life. It was too late to help, and it’s something that has stayed with me ever since. That moment changed how I see the importance of mental health and how urgently we need to support those who are struggling.
Since then, I’ve been committed to raising awareness of the growing mental health crisis — because it affects more people than we often realise, including those close to us.
Sport in Mind is a charity that truly makes a difference. They use physical activity to support people experiencing mental health challenges, helping them find hope, confidence, and connection again.
Working in the leisure industry, I’ve seen first-hand how powerful movement can be. For me personally, sport has always been a lifeline — helping me stay grounded, focused, and mentally strong.
That’s why I’ve set a goal to raise £850 to support their work.
I’ll also be organising some fun fundraising events along the way — including virtual runs, festival hair braiding, cake sales, and more!
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean so much. Every contribution helps change lives.
Thank you for your support — let’s make every step count 💙
