Emma's fundraiser for TEAM TOM, in support of Forget Me Not Children's Hospice

Emma Lenehan is raising money for FORGET ME NOT CHILDREN'S HOSPICE
In memory of Tom

Skydive Challenge · 25 July 2026 ·

We deliver outstanding care to children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire.

Story

On Saturday 25th July 2026 myself and my son Jack will be taking part in a skydive for Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in memory of our friend's beautiful son Tom 💙

I have been friends with Tom's mum Sarah for nearly 20 years. We have been through every high and the lowest of every low together. She was my wing woman when Carl passed away in 2020. Our girls were born a month apart and we spent every "Friday Club" together.

We soon added a new addition to our gang when "Baby Tom" was born in 2021.

He was an added beacon of light in such a dark time and this beautiful blue eyed boy soon became mine and Eva's little best mate.. much to the annoyance of Grandma Julie (Sarah's mum) as he used to call everyone Emma!

Tom was a healthy little boy who passed away suddenly at 20 months old in November 2022 after catching a childhood virus.

💜

Forget Me Not Children's Hospice is not a charity most people have heard of, until they need to. Those of us with children cannot imagine the service and support they provide for bereaved families.

As an outsider to my friend and her family, I will be forever thankful for the kindness and incredible support they've provided, and continue to provide.

Two weeks ago i was talking to Sarah over lunch about a possible skydive idea that me and Jack had been thinking about (very casually!) She mentioned that FMN host them, we looked at the dates and it falls on Carl's birthday weekend this year..and within 10 minutes I'd booked on! All of the blue eyed boy signs 💙

There isn't anything we can do as bystanders to support our friends and family when they have their lives turned upside down with the loss of a loved one.

But I hope that our fundraising supports FMN to continue their fantastic work in the future for other families who find themselves in devastating circumstances.

All donations will be greatly appreciated and paid directly to FMN, they will be recorded in memory of Tom.
