The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides outstanding palliative and end-of-life care to people living with life-limiting illness, together with comfort and support for their loved ones and carers. All services are free, testament to our belief that dignity and comfort should be accessible to all.

Story

The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides respite and palliative care to adults suffering from life-limiting illness who live in Andover and its surrounding villages or who have a connection with the area, together with comfort and support for their families, friends and carers.

This year the village will be raising money in memory of Lyn Milne - a very missed & adored wife, Mum & villager. We are simply adding onto the efforts of Lynsey & Lucy’s incredible fundraising following their 3 peaks challenge. Please have a read below of what Lynsey wrote in the original fundraising page:

We’re raising money for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice – the wonderful charity that cared for my Mum with such compassion in her final days. Mum passed away on Mother’s Day, 30th March 2025, just 29 days after meeting her precious granddaughter, Annabella.

The hospice team are true angels. They provided not only exceptional palliative and end-of-life care for Mum, but also emotional support and comfort for our entire family. Their dedication allowed Mum to spend her last days with dignity, surrounded by love, in a space that prioritised peace and well-being.

If you’re able to support us, every single donation makes a difference — not just for the patients, but for the families who walk this journey with them.

Thank you so much 💛
